Soon there will be a quick and inexpensive way for a man to check the quality of his sperm and monitor his fertility, before his partner is subjected to the medical maze of infertility.
Sandstone Diagnostics of Livermore, CA has developed an over-the-counter device that promises lab-quality precision, for men to check their own sperm count. You will be able to avoid the fertility clinic bathroom and test your sperm quality in the privacy of your home.
The device will be in FDA trials soon and, if all goes as planned, consumers will be able to order online or pick up in stores. There will also be an app, so you can track the effects of your health and lifestyle on your sperm quality.
